Happy New Comic Book Day! I’m getting Detective Comics #2, Action Comics #2, Swamp Thing #2, Red Lanterns #2, and I’m gonna try Penguin: Pain and Prejudice #1. What about you?
Thoughts on the New 52?
Now that we’re 3 weeks into the new 52, let’s take a moment to think about it. So far I’ve read JLA, Action and Detective Comics, Batgirl, Green Arrow, JLI, Swamp Thing, Green Lantern, and Red Laterns. Everything was good except for Green Arrow. Batgirl and Swamp Thing surprised me with how good they were but Action Comics has me a little iffy. I’m anxious to see what Morrison has in mind for the character (although I’m kinda not digging the whole t-shirt and jeans Superman). Any subscribers to the new 52? What do you like?
Some footage from the new Green Lantern: The Animated Series coming later this year on Cartoon Network. Don’t know how I feel about this…the character designs are horrid. Hal is as big as Kilowog? Really??
