Finally read Green Lantern #1 last night. Thought it was a nice setup. I’ve read some mixed reviews on it. One of the things about Geoff Johns is that once you get the climax of the story arc, you better appreciate everything that came before because that’s where the story is (sometimes he manages to do it in one issue). Some people complained GL #1 was boring. I loved it because it got me excited for the next issue. Others said it would be confusing for new readers and that it should’ve been called GL #68. I kinda agree. You definitely have to read everything that came before to truly appreciate and understand #1. But It gives enough info for newcomers to understand, I think. Any thoughts?

Newsarama.com posted THIS along with a preview of Action Comics #1 that you should certainly check out.
After reading it all I can say is that I trust Grant Morrison. It doesn’t feel like Superman just yet, but I know it will…

It’s Justice League Day here at Comic-ly Awesome! Don’t worry, we’ll throw in a few different things here and there.

Personally, going out at midnight for comics is kinda silly (considering you stay up late to read a 20-something page book. Maybe it’s us old, working guys talking.) but I know a lot of people did it last night for the launch of The New 52. Anyone got their hands on Justice League #1 yet??
